VH1 has greenlighted a new reality series built around a character who surfaced on one of the cable channel’s current shows.

The new show stars "Mob Wives" friend Angela Raiola, also known as “Big Ang,” which is the working title for the new project, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

"I, along with everyone I know and our viewers, fell in love with Big Ang from the very first moment we saw her on screen in ‘Mob Wives,’” said VH1’s original programming and production Executive Vice President Jeff Olde.

The show will have a summer debut and will consist of 10 half-hour episodes, the story notes. Raiola, the niece of a late captain of the Genovese crime family, owns a Staten Island bar called the Drunken Monkey.
