"The Walking Dead" executive producer Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Entertainment has signed an exclusive pod deal with Universal Cable Productions, reports Deadline.com.

The deal marks the first overall television agreement for Valhalla, which will develop and produce projects for both cable and broadcast, the piece notes.

Hurd and her executives will work with Universal Cable Prods.’ development team on projects for networks including UCP’s NBCUniversal siblings USA and Syfy, according to the article.

It’s unclear whether UCP will join Valhalla’s already in-progress projects, such as "Port Royal," a period pirate drama in development at FX, the story says.
