ABC’s ‘Last Man Standing’ Replaces Showrunner

ABC’s "Last Man Standing" is getting a new showrunner, reports Deadline.com. The series has hired veteran comedy writer and producer Tim Doyle, the story reports.

Doyle will replace Kevin Abbott, who stepped in for creator Jack Burditt and will continue to work as an executive producer in a non-exclusive capacity, the story notes. Abbott’s pilot "Malibu Country" was picked up to series by ABC.

"Last Man Standing" will be paired with "Malibu Country" on Fridays this fall, with Doyle and Abbott executive producing along with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Shawn Levy, Tim Allen, Kevin Hench, Rick Baker and Richard Messina, the story notes.
