A new talk show in the works at CBS Television Distribution is centered on a pairing of two Food Network stars, Deadline.com reports.
Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay are being teamed for the syndicated talk show, set for a fall 2013 premiere. The move follows a successful foray by Food Network star Rachael Ray into talk.
CBS TVD is wrapping up a deal in which the two chefs will be paired in a "Live with Regis and Kelly"-type setting, the story says. “Rachael Ray’s” Shane Farley will executive produce.
Talk of a Flay-De Laurentiis matchup started surfacing early this year. Recently they’ve been appearing on "Food Network Stars" and they paired up last week for a segment on NBC’s "Today."
The report notes: “This is the second high-profile syndicated talk show in the works for fall 2013. Sony TV is working on a show hosted by Queen Latifah and co-produced by Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment.”
