Dave Hemingson, the executive producer and co-showrunner of "Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23," has signed a new multi-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV, the studio that produces the show, reports Deadline.com.

The deal keeps Hemingson with the show, which was renewed for a second season, while also allowing him to develop projects, the story notes.

Hemingson has worked at 20th TV for the past eight years, ranging from animated shows such as "Family Guy" to live-action programs including "Lie to Me," the story notes. He also created projects that went to pilot, including "Kitchen Confidential" and "The Deep End," which both went to series, the story notes.

20th TV Chairman Dana Walden noted that Hemingson will focus on "making ‘Don’t Trust’ as strong as possible” before turning to new projects, the piece adds.
