Katie Couric’s talk show "Katie" has hired another member of the Couric-Jeff Zucker team from "Today’s” heyday, reports Deadline.com.

“Katie” hired Michael Bass, who served as Zucker’s No. 2 on "Today" and who worked as interim executive producer on the show when Zucker left to become NBC Entertainment president, the story says.

Bass will serve as co-executive producer on "Katie," Couric’s syndicated talk show slated to debut Sept. 10. Bass is joining fellow co-executive producer Kathy Samuels, with both reporting to Zucker and helping him run the show, the story notes.
