Alloy Digital continues its recent string of acquisitions with a big one, buying YouTube’s entertainment news provider, Clevver Media, Deadline.com reports.

“With the move, Alloy Digital’s owned and operated channels move up to No. 1 in total YouTube subscribers, counting over 8 million,” the story reports. “Clevver Media’s seven entertainment and celebrity focused YouTube channels include ClevverTV, ClevverMovies, ClevverMusic, ClevverGames, ClevverNews, ClevverStyle and the Spanish language ClevverTeve.”

The move continues a string of acquisitions for Alloy Digital. In the past year the company has bought “Smosh, an online leader in teen and young adult comedy content; production/management company Generate; and B5 Media, owner of women’s lifestyle digital publishing and media networks,” the story reports.

In addition, Generate CEO Jordan Levin is now president of Alloy Digital.

Alloy’s sibling Alloy Entertainment was recently acquired by Warner Bros. TV, the story notes.
