NBC has found a replacement for a key role in one of its new comedies after the original actress moved on to an ABC show, EW.com’s Inside TV reports.

The series "Guys with Kids" cast "Childrens Hospital" actress Erinn Hayes in the series regular role of Sheila, the story says. Sheila is the perfectionist ex-wife of Chris, played by Jesse Bradford. The couple share custody of their 9-month-old.

Hayes replaces Sara Rue, who played the role in the pilot. Rue is moving to ABC’s "Malibu Country," the story says.

"Guys with Kids" will debut Sept. 12.
