The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has decided not to go forward with a case of sexual assault against actor/director Timothy Busfield, best known for his roles on "thirtysomething" and "The West Wing," reports TMZ.com.

A woman who went on a date last month with Busfield to a movie claimed that during a kiss, he inappropriately groped her breasts and genital area, as previously reported.

Prosecutors determined that the evidence was insufficient to proceed with a case against Busfield, so the actor will not have charges brought against him, TMZ reports.
