Sony Pictures TV has signed a three-year overall deal with "House" creator and executive producer David Shore, who is leaving NBCUniversal after eight years, reports Deadline.com.

Under the deal, which is described as an eight-figure agreement, Shore will develop new projects under his Shore Z Prods. banner, which will be built into a full-fledged production company, the story notes.

"House" ended its eight-season run on Fox last month. Shore, a former partner at a law firm, tapped his legal background to break into television dramas with a spec script for "L.A. Law," the story notes.
