NBC’s ‘Dracula’ Taps ‘Carnivale’ Creator as Showrunner and Writer

NBC’s 10-episode series "Dracula" has tapped the creator of HBO’s "Carnivale" as its showrunner and head writer, reports Deadline.com.

“Carnivale’s” Dan Knauf will work with “Dracula” creator Cole Haddon on the project, which will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the titular vampire.

The TV show will be set in 1890s and will follow Dracula as he arrives in London, pretending to be an American businessman, and ends up falling in love with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his late wife, the piece notes.
