Ryan Murphy, who is the co-creator/executive producer of three current television shows, has signed on to produce a drama for Fox and a comedy for NBC, reports Deadline.com.
Ryan Murphy Television has sold "Montauk," from "Apollo 18" writer Brian Miller, to Fox. It’s reportedly a family thriller set in Montauk, Long Island. Miller and Murphy are also working together on a sci-fi-/horror movie for Sony.
The NBC comedy premise is being kept quiet, the piece notes. Writers Matt Spicer and Max Winkler co-created the project, with Spicer writing and Winkler directing, the story says.
20th Century Fox TV, where Ryan Murphy TV is based, is co-producing both projects. Both Murphy and his company’s president, Dante di Loreto, are executive producing.
Murphy’s on-air shows are "Glee," "American Horror Story" and "The New Normal."
