Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham and radio shock jock Howard Stern are on good terms after the “Girls” creator and star called in to Stern’s show and “graciously accepted the shock jock’s apology for the on-air rant he gave last week calling her a ‘little fat chick,’ among other things,” the New York Daily News reports.

Stern had already apologized for his comments, as we reported earlier this week.

During the phone call, Stern assured Dunham that he is a fan of the HBO series and explained that his initial critique came after he had watched only the first two episodes.

Said Stern, who has since seen a few more episodes: "I realize: Not only am I addicted, but I totally get you."

Stern added: "I’m in love with you and your character. I just wanted to tell you that I love you, and I think you’re terrific."

Dunham focused on Stern’s comments about her weight, saying: "I’m not that fat, Howard. I’m not super-thin, but I’m thin for, like, Detroit."

But Dunham, who has taken the whole episode in good humor, reassured Stern that she harbors no ill will. Said Dunham: "I appreciate your effort to rectify (this). Whether you’d done that or not, I’d have remained a (Howard Stern) enthusiast.”
