Many celebrities appearing on CBS’s broadcast of the Grammys apparently didn’t get the memo from the network, which banned airing flashes of breasts, buttocks and genitals, reports Deadline.com.

As previously reported, CBS Program Practices issued a wardrobe advisory for the telecast, which aired Sunday night, Feb. 10. Among the dictates: "Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure."

Deadline reports: "Rihanna ignored the wardrobe restrictions with a nipple-revealing sheer dress. Katy Perry showed lotsa cleavage," and "Jennifer Lopez bared her right leg all the way to the start of her crotch."

Lopez told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, "They didn’t say anything about leg!” She added, "”Did you read this memo? It mentioned things that I don’t say around my house or my children. It’s crazy.”

  1. Let me see, sex, drugs & rock ‘n roll. Sing about them, dance about them but in America do not actually expose anyone to the reality of it. What a bunch of horse sh*t.

  2. Right you are Tim.
About time for the Grammys to get real and move to a cable network.
Having said that, I think everyone looked great, except those posuer idiots “The Black Keys”. They have everybody fooled. Then they show up a ceremony witnessed by millions still dressed in their “rock star” costumes. Dudes get a clue, we know you’re ‘rock stars’, and now we know you have no respect.

  3. By the way, just today on TCM was a 1936 film with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire with wing walking women as the grand finale’ of this incredibly bad movie. Point being they had sheer tops over their bra-less breasts and you could see nipples! Even more scandalous was their vulvas were prominent!! OMG how far we have regressed. The Hayes Commission on decency even OKed that 77 yrs ago.
