The Fox Network is losing a key programming executive who has been with the network for a decade. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that Marcy Ross, executive vice president of current programming, opted not to renew her contract, which ends this year.

Ross plans to return to content creation, and is pursuing other opportunities, according to the report. She will stay on at Fox in a consulting role during the transition, which will likely last through the end of the season.

"Fox wouldn’t comment on the reasons for Ross’ exit but I hear she and top network brass have had differences," Andreeva writes.
