Women in Cable Telecommunications today announced the release of its "Path to PAR" report, which spotlights leadership development practices at the companies identified as the best for women in cable in the organization’s 2011 Pay equity, Advancement opportunities and Resources for work/life support (PAR) Survey.

The report is available for download from the group’s website.

The report features case studies and individual profiles from the 2011 PAR survey’s top five MSOs and programmers. The 2011 Best Operators for Women in Cable are Time Warner Cable; Cox Communications, Inc.; Comcast; Bright House Networks; and Suddenlink Communications.

The 2011 Best Programmers for Women in Cable are NBCUniversal; Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.; Scripps Networks Interactive; Discovery Communications; and ESPN.

Parthavi Das, WICT’s SVP & Chief of Staff, who has served as the PAR staff liaison since its launch, said in a statement: "For 10 years, PAR has documented notable advancements for women. Path to PAR provides an opportunity for the PAR Best Companies to highlight their efforts to create a pipeline of talented women leaders, while serving as a model for other companies."

The organization noted in a press release: “Since 2009, the PAR survey has been conducted biennially, and in the period between surveys WICT provides resources and materials to assist companies with honing their diversity and inclusion tactics. The latest report examines the best practices and programs that cable companies have in place to prepare their employees to be the leaders of tomorrow, including the use of WICT programs to augment their own efforts. The goal is to help the industry stay ahead of other industries in terms of providing opportunities for women.”
