One of the stars of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has been cast in a new CW drama project. TVLine.com reports that Anthony Head, who played the watcher Giles on the cult favorite, will co-star in the CW drama pilot "The Selection."
“From Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain (‘Dollhouse,’ ‘The Vampire Diaries’), the ‘Hunger Games’-esque project is set 300 years in the future and centers on a working-class woman (played by Israeli actress Yael Grobglas) chosen by lottery to participate in a competition for the Prince’s (Michael Malarkey) hand to become the nation’s next queen,” the story reports.
Head will play King Clarkson, the patriarch of the royal family. It will be the second king that Head has recently portrayed, after he appeared on "Merlin" as King Uther Pendragon, the father of King Arthur.
