Disney Channel announced that it is bringing back a comedy series for a third season. B&C reports that the cable channel renewed "Jessie," which stars Debby Ryan as a nanny for a wealthy New York family.

Last year, the show ranked as the No. 2 program with children 2-11 and kids 6-11 during its Friday time period. The show was created by Pamela Eelis O’Connell, who has worked on shows such as "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and "The Nanny."
