An actor who provided the voice of Charlie Brown in a string of animated “Peanuts” TV specials, including “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” has pleaded guilty to stalking and making criminal threats, People magazine reports.
Peter Robbins faces up to three years in prison in connection with incidents involving his former girlfriend and her doctor, the story reports.
“Robbins, 56, reportedly paid for breast-augmentation surgery for his then-girlfriend, Shawna Kern,” the piece reports. “But after their relationship ended following an alleged domestic-violence episode, he threatened Kern and the doctor in an attempt to get his money back, prosecutors said.”
Robbins was arrested on felony stalking charges in January at the border crossing between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico, as previously reported. He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Robbins was 9 years old when he became the voice of Charlie Brown.
