Patricia Arquette has made her first major series commitment since she wrapped up seven seasons on “Medium” in early 2011. The veteran film and TV actress is joining HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” Deadline.com reports.
Arquette joins the series in a recurring role for season four, which is currently in production. “She will play Sally Wheet, a tough-as-nails Tampa speakeasy owner with connections to local gangsters,” the story reports.
The season is set to premiere later this year, with Ron Livingston and Jeffrey Wright among the new regulars to appear along with lead Steve Buscemi.
Arquette won an Emmy for “Medium” in 2005, and is known for a string of feature films including “Flirting With Disaster,” “Lost Highway” and “True Romance.”
