‘Mad Men’ Creator Apologizes for Goof on Show

"Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner apologized for a blunder on the show that was called out by fans, reports New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.

The most recent episode featured Joan, played by Christina Hendricks, making reservations at Le Cirque, although the restaurant didn’t exist in 1968, when the current season is set, as previously reported.

"We make mistakes," Weiner said Tuesday at the Paley Center, according to the piece. "And in this case — Christina’s not here, but she was ad-libbing," he joked. "No, it was a terrible error, and I think that the pleasure some people derive from this mistake makes it more entertainment for the show."
