A comedy director who won an Emmy for his work on NBC’s “30 Rock” is on board to direct the premiere episode of an adaptation of “Fargo” for FX. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Adam Bernstein will direct the episode.

Bernstein is also executive producing the limited series, which is based on the Coen brothers film of the same name. The project will feature a new "true crime" story.

Ethan and Joel Coen are also executive producing, along with Warren Littlefield. The project will begin production in the fall for a spring 2014 debut.

Bernstein shared in the Emmy for "30 Rock" for outstanding comedy series in 2007.
