A new CBS program will take a look at the U.S. system of eduction from the point-of-view of teachers, Deadline.com reports. The two-hour special, "Teach," will air Sept. 6.
The documentary, directed by Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim of "An Inconvenient Truth," poses the question of what it takes to serve as a teacher, the story says. It tracks a year inside the classrooms of a fourth-grade teacher and high-school algebra teacher in Denver; an AP history teacher in Los Angeles; and a middle-school math teacher in Idaho.
The project is Guggenheim’s third education-themed documentary, after "Waiting for Superman" and "The First Year."
