2005 Country Music Awards to Air Live From New York

New York will host the 39th Annual Country Music Awards for the first time next year. The show will originate live Nov. 15 from Madison Square Garden on CBS.

The announcement was made Tuesday in New York by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, CMA board President Kix Brooks (of Brooks & Dunn) and CBS Senior VP of Specials Jack Sussman. The CMA Awards will return to Nashville in 2006.
