E! is crafting a reality series with a setup that requires a suspension of disbelief: The disapproving family of a rebellious princess has given her a few months to find a real job and husband or she will be financially cut off. The 10-part half-hour series, “Love is in the Heir,” sounds like a Hollywood feature, but an E! spokesperson said the show is nonscripted.

The series follows an Iranian princess, Ann Claire, who is pursing a country music career in Los Angeles. In addition to issuing an ultimatum on her future, her father sends “Mr. Van Frankenstein as her newly appointed caretaker, both as a means to control his wild daughter and to report back to him on her progress.”

The series debuts Nov. 28 at 10 p.m.
