The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will stage the first Emmys En Español during its annual trustees dinner June 3 in San Antonio.

Six or seven leading Hispanics in the Spanish-language television business in the United States, some on-air, will be honored for their body of work.

The honorees were nominated by an organizing committee for Emmys En Español chaired by Raul Mateu, William Morris Agency’s senior VP in Miami, and signed off on by NATAS’ National Awards Committee. Honorees will be announced in the spring.
