CTAM named Nickelodeon’s “The Big Help” its 2005 inductee into the CTAM Hall of Fame. The public service campaign was inducted during CTAM Summit session “World Cable-Heavyweight Conference” in Philadelphia.
The ongoing campaign, which started in 1994, has spent approximately $30 million and dedicated more than 10 percent of its airtime to encourage kids to volunteer in their communities. Nick also promoted the effort on its Web sites: Nick.com, Nickjr.com, Teachers.nick.com and in Nickelodeon Magazine.
“The Big Help” was selected by CTAM for its outstanding achievement by a panel of 25 cable marketing and agency executives. Previous inductees include VH1’s “Save the Music” foundation in 2004 and MTV’s “Choose or Lose” campaign in 2001.
