OLN’s first National Hockey League telecast, the Oct. 5 game between the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers, will be made available to all cable operators and satellite providers, whether or not they carry OLN, the network said Monday. The move is designed to provide the largest possible audience for the NHL’s return after a labor dispute canceled last season. “Opening night is a celebration of the return of these great teams and players to the ice, so we’re making it available free of charge to all operators, said Gavin Harvey, president of OLN.
