NBC Universal Names Nelson Exec Producer for Mullally Talk Strip

Corin Nelson has been named executive producer of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution’s fall 2006 talk strip “The Megan Mullally Show.”

Ms. Nelson, who has recently been under an overall development deal with Telepictures Productions, won five Daytime Emmy Awards as showrunner of the company’s “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.”

Ms. Nelson spent five seasons at “Rosie,” three as the show’s supervising producer/showrunner. As part of her Telepictures deal she produced a number of pilots and presentations, including this season’s “The Tyra Banks Show.”

Ms. Nelson worked for several years at VH1, where she created and produced original programming and supervised production of the network’s “VH1 Goes Inside.” She began her career in entertainment publicity, overseeing New York and Los Angeles publicity departments for Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star Pictures, Gramercy Pictures and Savoy Pictures.
