NBC Universal Television Group Realigns Department

NBC Universal Television Group Publicity has promoted three executives to senior VP in addition to making new hires and assignments. The announcements were made Tuesday by Rebecca Marks, executive VP of the department.

Curt King has been elevated to senior VP of NBC Universal Television Studio, publicity, marketing and corporate communications. Deborah Thomas has been named senior VP, NBC Entertainment Publicity. Joe Schlosser becomes senior VP, communications, NBC Universal Television Distribution. In addition, Kahlil Olmstead has been elevated to director of talent relations.

Mr. King will continue to oversee publicity activities for NBC Universal Television Studio and will now be responsible for overseeing NBC Universal Television Group departments including talent relations, events and operations and guest relations. Ms. Thomas will continue to be responsible for NBC’s Entertainment division’s publicity efforts, while Mr. Schlosser will continue to oversee all internal and external communications for the distribution division. Mr. Olmstead will be responsible for coordinating and cultivating NBC’s relationships with its actors and producers.

In addition, Lesley Cerwin has joined the company as director of NBC entertainment publicity, while Chandler Spaulding has been added as press manager. Kristy Chan has joined as senior press manager at NBC Universal Television Studio.
