Coleman, Davis Named NATPE Co-Chairs

Emerson Coleman, VP of programming for Hearst-Argyle Television, and Stephen Davis, president of mobile and online media for InfoSpace, have been elected by the National Association of Television Program Executives’ board of directors as co-chairmen of NATPE.

Mr. Coleman and Mr. Davis, who is serving his third year as NATPE co-chair, will oversee NATPE’s Executive Committee, which is responsible for supervising the preparation of the association’s annual budget, advising NATPE’s board of directors and making recommendations on all of the organization’s business. Mr. Coleman replaces John Weiser, president of distribution for Sony Pictures Television, who served as a co-chair for two years.

An Emmy Award-winning producer, Mr. Coleman has overseen international television projects in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Brazil, India, China, Israel, Australia, West Africa and throughout the Caribbean. Mr. Coleman, who began his career as a writer and a filmmaker, served as senior producer for WBZ-TV in Boston and as the executive in charge of local programming at WJZ-TV in Baltimore. He later joined Hearst’s WBAL-TV as director of broadcast operations.

Stephen Davis, president of mobile and online media for InfoSpace, is responsible for managing InfoSpace’s mobile and online entertainment business worldwide, including content licensing and production, marketing, public relations, promotions, sales and product development. He is based at the company’s Los Angeles offices. Previously, Mr. Davis was president of Granada America. During his tenure, the company became the largest foreign-owned supplier to the U.S. television networks.
