‘Grey’s’ Rules Thursday

ABC dominated Thursday night with “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ugly Betty” earning their highest ratings since their September premieres.

“Betty” posted a 4.7 rating among adults 18 to 49, according to Nielsen Media Research, and “Grey’s” posted a 10.2. Since “Grey’s” ran over into the 10 p.m. hour, “Men in Trees” posted a season high 3.9.

In second place for the evening, CBS started with a “CSI” repeat (3.4), followed by an original (6.8) that was on the low side. “Shark” was average at 10 p.m. (3.9).

NBC’s comedy block performed well, with “My Name Is Earl” (4.5) and “The Office” (5.0) earning their second-highest ratings of the season. Those shows were followed by “Scrubs” (3.4), whose performance was about average, and “30 Rock” (2.9). “ER” posted slightly lower than average ratings with a 5.1.

In fourth place, Fox’s “Til Death” (2.3) garnered its highest rating in four months, followed by “War at Home” (1.8) and “The OC” (1.6).

The CW nearly bested Fox for fourth place, with “Smallville” (2.0) and “Supernatural” (1.4).
