Showtime Launches Interactive Feature In Dish Homes

Showtime fired up a new interactive television feature in Dish Network homes today. Called Showtime Interactive 2.0, the free service operates as an overlay to the Showtime channel on Dish.

Showtime subscribers can use their remote control to get more information on Showtime’s programs and movies, such as behind-the-scenes clips, trivia questions and details on the actors. Customers can also use the interactive service to access a month-long Showtime programming guide and select shows to record. Users can also change the angle at which they watch boxing matches on the channel.

In addition, the service lets non-Showtime subscribers sign up for the channel using the remote rather than making a phone call.
