Jeff Whitson returns to Jacksonville, Fla., as VP and general manager of Clear Channel Television’s stations, Fox affiliate WAWS-TV, CBS affiliate WTEV-TV and digital station VTV. VTV is a MyNetworkTV affiliate that also carries information, lifestyle and entertainment programming.

Mr. Whitson had been local sales manager and national sales manager of WAWS/WTEV from 1996 to 2000. In 2002, he was named VP and general manager of Clear Channel’s Fox affiliate WXXA-TV in Albany, N.Y.

Craig Millar, Clear Channel Television’s Southern region senior VP, said in the announcement, “Jeff’s recent success in growing our Albany Fox station to the No. 1 news position there is exactly what we know he and our Jacksonville team are capable of doing.”
