Fox Sports Ramps Up HD

Apr 5, 2007  •  Post A Comment

For the first time, Fox Sports will air some of its regular-season Major League Baseball coverage in high-definition.
Fox will air one or two of its trio of weekly games in HD. Post-season coverage also will be in HD.
Contrary to some online reports, the move marks a significant increase in Fox Sports’ HD coverage. Last season, Fox did not carry any regular-season games in the format.
Market size will determine which games receive HD coverage. Each week, whatever game is going to the largest percentage of the country will be in HD. Some of the next-largest market’s games also will be in HD.
