For the first Monday of May sweeps, ABC took the lead with “Dancing With the Stars” and “The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman.”
Coming off its Sunday night win, ABC once again led the preliminary Nielsens among adults 18 to 49 and also topped total households. Due to irregular running times (“Dancing” was 15 minutes shy of two hours), however, ratings are approximate. “Dancing” had a 4.7 and “Bachelor” a 3.6, both about average.
CBS was second with its comedy block, though “How I Met Your Mother” hit a season low (2.8), followed by “Old Christine” (2.7), “Two and a Half Men” (4.6) and “King of Queens” (a strong 4.6). At 10 p.m., “CSI Miami” was on par (5.1).
Third-place NBC had “Deal or No Deal” (3.6), “Heroes” (5.4, up a tick from its return last week) and “The Real Wedding Crashers” (2.8, on par with its premiere).
Fox aired a “House” repeat (2.8, up from last week’s “Drive,” since canceled) and “24” (4.0), which finished fourth in the hour.
The CW’s comedy block averaged a 1.0.
