Twentieth Television has renewed court show duo “Divorce Court” and “Judge Alex” through the 2008-09 season.
“As a leader in the court genre, we are proud that our flagship court program, ‘Divorce Court,’ and the popular ‘Judge Alex’ will remain a part of the family for years to come,” said Bob Cook, president-chief operating officer, Twentieth Television. “Two prominent courtroom personalities, combined with viewers’ continued interest in the show’s highly engaging court cases, made the decision to renew a simple one.”
“Divorce Court,” with Judge Lynn Toler presiding, is averaging a 2.1 for the 2006-07 season. “Judge Alex,” with Alex Ferrer on the bench, is pulling a 2.0 this season.
Both series currently air in major markets on Fox-owned stations.
