Fox is extending its reality-fueled ratings dominance into the summer season, winning Wednesday night with the two-hour airing of “So You Think You Can Dance.”
“Dance” tapped a 4.0 rating among adults 18 to 49, according to preliminary Nielsens, leading the night for Fox. “Dance” was up 11 percent over last week’s time period premiere.
CBS was second with repeats. ABC was third, leading off with the debut of “Next Best Thing: Who Is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator” (2.5), which came in second place for the hour. At 9 p.m., ABC aired a repeat of the pilot for “Traveler” (1.5) and then the time-period premiere of an original “Traveler” (2.0).
NBC was fourth with repeats. The CW’s premiere for the Kevin Williamson soap “Hidden Palms” drew a very modest 0.7, followed by “One Tree Hill” (1.0).
