FX has placed orders for second seasons of its two newest original dramas.
The renewal of “Dirt” and “The Riches,” plus the addition of the Glenn Close series “Damages,” gives FX a hefty slate of original dramas.
“We’re very proud to have managed, in the toughest possible competitive environment, to launch ‘Dirt’ and ‘The Riches,’ two highly original series that have resonated with our audience as strongly as ‘The Shield’ and ‘Rescue Me,'” said John Landgraf, president and general manager of FX Networks. “FX now has six original dramas, more than any network in the history of cable television, cementing the network’s status as a leader in quality original series.”
“Rescue Me” moves to Wednesdays at 10 p.m. beginning June 13. “Damages” will premiere Tuesday, July 24, at 10 p.m., the network said.
