Minutes after releasing its average commercial minute data, Nielsen said it had to reprocess some of the ratings for several syndicated shows and was withholding the data.
The problem also affected data on syndicated shows on Nielsen’s NPower system and its all-minute respondent level data during the weeks of April. 30 and May 7.
Nielsen was able to relatively quickly produce commercial ratings for broadcast programs, but found generating data for cable and syndication a bit more difficult. Most of the problems with cable were ironed out in March.
