Exclusive Podcast: ‘Entourage’ Creator Clears Up Scheduling

Jun 5, 2007  •  Post A Comment

In this week’s exclusive Backlot Talk podcast, “Entourage” creator and executive producer Doug Ellin explains the unusual scheduling of the show, which Sunday wrapped the second half of its third season. After a two-week hiatus, HBO begins airing the 12-episode fourth season on June 17. HBO will then air season five starting June 2008.
Mr. Ellin also discussed the “Medellín” project that’s consuming the guys.
“I think of these guys’ generation as thinking of ‘Scarface’ as one of their favorite movies,” Mr. Ellin said. “Wouldn’t it be something a guy could really act in, transform himself, put on weight, do an accent, speak Spanish? It seemed like the perfect movie for Vince, who has a Latin flavor to him.”
To find out if Mr. Ellin identifies more with Vince or Drama, go to TVWeek.com’s Backlot Talk to listen to the full podcast.
