GSN named Dennis Miller as host of its new game show “Grand Slam.” Mr. Miller, known from “Saturday Night Live,” “Monday Night Football” and his own HBO show, is taking on a game show for the first time.
“Grand Slam,” executive produced by Michael Davies for Embassy Row and Sony Pictures,” pits winners of other game shows against one another in an elimination tournament with a final prize of $100,000.
Winners from shows including “Jeopardy,” “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” “Wheel of Fortune,” “Tic Tac Dough,” “Lingo” and “The Weakest Link” are schedule to compete.
“Grand Slam” premieres August 7. Amanda Byram serves as co-host.
“Getting Dennis Miller to be our host on ‘Grand Slam’ is the game show equivalent of landing the No. 1 draft pick. He is the perfect talent for this ultimate challenge that will determine who is the greatest game show contestant of all-time,” said Jamie Roberts, GSN’s senior VP of Programming.

  2. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
