The finale of History Channel’s “Ice Road Truckers” drew 4.8 million viewers, making it Sunday night’s top-rated show among households on ad-supported cable.
The show has been a surprise hit both on cable and on the Internet. History.com’s “Ice Road Truckers” mini-site has received more than 3 million page views this season and more than 2.5 million video views.
“The History Channel could not be more pleased with the tremendous success of ‘Ice Road Truckers,’” said Nancy Dubuc, executive VP and general manager of the History Channel. “Out of the gate the show performed really well, and as the season progressed, the buzz increased.’

  1. i wont to sine up to work for ice truckers

  2. While I too enjoyed Ice Road Truckers, I was aggravated and put out by the two get togethers at a cafe with the truckers who I felt like were old friends.
While Hugh was a boss from hell who only cared about running as many loads as possible and making as much money as he could, he could have been a bit more compassionate about Rick, who had nearly frozen feet, and Drew, the original bad luck kid.
Nevertheless, apparently, the anti-smoking gestapo made TJ, Rick and Drew forego smoking during filming of the get togethers. Smoking was a big part of these three and should not have been excluded. I think the producers carried political correctness a bit too far.
What was the woman doing there? If she appeared in any of the episodes, I must have missed it.
