Chart: Ad Spending for Top 10 Parent Companies

Ad spending in the first half of 2007 declined 7.3 percent to $8.3 billion and seven of the top 10 advertisers reined in their ad budgets. General Motors, for example, cut spending by a whopping 27.7 percent. On the other hand, Ford Motor Co. increased its spending by 2.1 percent. The following chart tracks the top ad spenders.
