Nielsen Shifts Herkovic, Svenningsen, Ziangas in New Roles

Three Nielsen Co. veterans will take on new roles in the company’s television ratings service effective Oct. 1.
Catherine Herkovic will become senior VP and managing director of national television client services after switching from a similar position in Nielsen’s local television service. In her new assignment, she will oversee client services and sales for Nielsen’s national TV ratings business with responsibility for the company’s broadcast and cable network, advertising agency and syndication clients. She will continue to report to Sara Erichson, executive VP of Nielsen Media Research Client Services North America.
Also continuing to report to Ms. Erichson will be Kevin Svenningsen, who is to become senior VP and managing director of local TV client services and will lead Nielsen’s local TV ratings service. Mr. Svenningsen, who will be responsible for client services and sales to television station and cable system clients, has been senior VP of sales and marketing for the Nielsen Agency Broadcast and Syndicator Service (NABSS).
Tom Ziangas will become senior VP of Nielsen Sports, where he will oversee the development of new products, sales, client service and business strategy for television sports measurement. He has been senior VP of national television client services, with responsibility for all sales and marketing functions for national cable network clients. He will report to Terrie Brennan, senior VP of new business development and strategy.
