CNN Tweaks Weekday Lineup

Oct 15, 2007  •  Post A Comment

CNN is moving “Lou Dobbs Tonight” to 7 p.m. weeknights starting Nov. 5, when “The Situation Room” will begin running in one block from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
CNN also announced Monday that Mr. Blitzer will anchor the network’s caucus and primary coverage, Democratic and Republican conventions and Election Night coverage. He will also moderate three upcoming presidential debates: a Democratic candidates’ debate in Las Vegas on Nov. 15, the Congressional Black Caucus debate in South Carolina on Jan. 17, and the final Democratic debate before Super Tuesday in Los Angeles on Jan. 31.
The realignment of the lineup presumably will give two of CNN’s signature shows time to gel as a lead-in for the prime-time show starring Campbell Brown that is expected to debut at 8 p.m. after Ms. Brown returns from maternity leave early in 2008.
