ESPN has finalized a deal with Fox Sports Net that will allow ESPN to carry Pac-10 college basketball games for the first time since 1995.
As part of the deal with Fox, ESPN’s 2007 slate will offer two regular-season Pac-10 home games. ESPN on ABC will continue to broadcast a minimum of three conference games annually from the NCAA conference, with the 2007 schedule offering four telecasts.
“Pac-10 basketball has tremendous history, tradition and pageantry, and the addition of games on ESPN is a great complement to our existing schedule on ABC,” said Ilan Ben-Hanan, ESPN director of programming and acquisitions. “Thanks to the cooperation of Fox Sports Net and the Pac-10, fans will be able to see even more action from this premier conference.”
The 2008 schedule of Pac-10 conference games on ABC and ESPN will be:
Sat., Feb. 2, 9 p.m., ESPN, Arizona at UCLA
Sat., Feb. 9, 3:30 p.m., ABC, USC at Washington State
Sat., Feb. 16, 3:30 p.m., ABC, Stanford at Arizona
Sat., Feb. 23, 3:30 p.m., ABC, Oregon at UCLA
Thur., Feb. 28, 9 p.m., ESPN or ESPN2, USC at Arizona
Sat., March 8, 3:30 p.m., ABC, Pac-10 Wildcard Game

FSN renewed its Pac-10 basketball agreement last year in a multiyear deal, giving the company exclusive rights to 56 regular-season men’s basketball games to be broadcast on over-the-air networks and on FSN, with national or regional coverage.
The package also includes exclusive national cable rights to four regular-season women’s games annually. FSN also maintains exclusive rights to air the men’s and women’s conference basketball tournaments.
