Carly Fiorina, the former chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard Co., has been named a contributor to Fox Business Network, which launches at 5 a.m. Monday with more than 30 million cable subscribers.
In announcing the signing Tuesday, Fox News Executive VP Kevin Magee called Ms. Fiorina “one of the foremost business leaders of our time.”
Ms. Fiorina had a fast rise through the big-business ranks to the top of Hewlett-Packard in 1999 as the first and so far only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company. She championed a controversial merger with Compaq and was forced out in 2005, after which she wrote her best-selling memoir, “Tough Choices.”
She now sits on a number of boards that aid her call to improve government effectiveness and private-public partnerships, including serving as chairman of the external advisory board for the Central Intelligence Agency. She also is on several nonprofit boards.
