Barrington Leaves MyNet, Likely Will Join MPG

Jan 10, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Dave Barrington has left his job as senior VP, ad sales, for News Corp.’s MyNetwork TV.
He is expected to join media buying agency MPG as director of media investment, replacing Bill McOwen, who moved to Starcom last year.
There is an active search to fill the position at MyNetworkTV, said a source close to the situation.
Formed by News Corp. after UPN was disbanded, MyNetworkTV launched with English-language versions of Spanish telenovelas. Those did not attract viewers and since have been replaced by new programming, including movies, reality shows and ultimate fighting.
