McCarthy Joins Univision as Exec VP

Univision Communications has hired former MTV Networks executive Lisa McCarthy as executive VP of client development and partnership marketing.
At MTV Networks, Ms. McCarthy had been executive VP of MTV Networks Brand Solutions. She will report to David Lawenda, president of ad sales for Univision and another MTV Networks alum.
Ms. McCarthy will lead a team working with Univision’s assets in TV, radio and digital. The team will be responsible for educating marketers about the economic and political power of the U.S. Hispanic consumer and will provide insights, communication strategies and ideas that help clients effectively engage with this consumer base in order to drive their business, the company said.
“Through her tenure at Viacom, [Lisa] established a track record as a driver of revenue, pioneered the cross-platform sales approach and proved herself as a dedicated team leader,” said Mr. Lawenda. “I am confident that her customer-focused approach to sales and marketing will be a tremendous asset to Univision.”
